JOB DESCRIPTION:

Holds overall responsibility of developing the proposal for a given opportunity, coordinating and reviewing the efforts of all applicable parties to perform the following (some or all of which may be performed by Proposal Manager depending on assignments).  Regardless of the employee’s title, this can be a per-opportunity role.

  • Customer interface – communicates with customers regarding scope, schedule, technical details, Q&A, bid due dates, etc. in coordination with the Salesperson as appliable.
  • Estimate Development
    • Labor basis – union/open shop, existing agreements, customer requirements
    • Project schedule that forms the basis of the estimate
  • Third Party pricing – cranes & subcontractor pricing
  • Engineering Sales Support (ESS) – to the extent applicable:  engineering solution & equipment selection, engineering estimate, fabrication estimate, technical clarifications.
  • Licensing and sales tax requirements
  • Proposal Development, carrying forward the relevant clarifications from the tasks above.
  • Post-bid Q&A and revisions to the above.
  • Leads Sales to PM Handoff – handoff of the project to Operations.

Review & negotiate contract terms – in conjunction with the assigned Project Manager.
