  • Lead a team of Project Design Engineers and Drafters that will provide technical support primarily for jobs requiring custom designed gear.  This role includes performing the work and reviewing project documents and fabrication drawings.

  • Uphold the Core Values of the company and high standards of Engineering professionals.

  • Manage customer expectations while maintaining a schedule to meet deliverable dates.

  • Work with Engineering Sales Support to provide time and cost estimates for projects in the bid phase, and proactively work with Project Managers to maintain the estimate during work execution.

  • Conduct training activities as required to grow the team technically and professionally.

  • Be involved in the hiring and recruiting process to find new talented team members.

  • Develop yearly business plans and initiatives, and work to complete those during the year.

  • Conduct routine check-ins for department engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Civil (structural) or Mechanical (machine design) Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Heavy Lift / Heavy Transport Industry or similar

  • Prior Management Experience preferred

  • Excellent Communication Skills and ability to work with teams

  • Licensed PE in an area related to our work

  • AutoCAD &/or Autodesk Inventor

  • MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word

  • FEA experience

  • RISA 3D and Mathcad is a plus
