Job Description:

  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices
  • Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, proper procedures and use of safety equipment
  • Perform safety and quality audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure regulation and procedure compliance
  • Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety and quality initiatives and necessary changes
  • Interact with and cultivate a good working relationship with customers, field leaders, project managers and others
  • Responsible to regularly and accurately communicate project status and concerns with Safety, Quality & Training Manager and Branch Leadership Team
  • Through study and experience, become an expert in work processes and systems
  • Assist in providing technical support and troubleshooting for issues arising in work.
  • Extensive travel required and often long hours.  Estimate of 75% travel.
  • Full-time position, salaried, excellent benefits package,  401k match dollar for dollar up to 10% after one year
  • Salary Range $50,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate and build confidence with management, supervision, field personnel and customers
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Consultation, coaching and training skills
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA,ANSI,NFPA)
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • OSHA 30 hour course completion
  • Must pass drug test, fit for duty test and background check
  • Must have a valid driving license
