The Vice President of People is responsible to facilitate and implement the overall people strategy of the company.  This is accomplished through a servant leadership model using a high degree of influence, education, and service as well as some areas of direct reporting.


Responsibility Areas:
    Recruiting

  • Develop and monitor our referral process
  • Develop recruiting tools and methods
  • Develop assessments and train managers in their use

    Onboarding

  • Develop and monitor the New Hire process including Day one and onboarding (3-6 months)
  • Develop and monitor strategies, systems and programs to attract, develop and retain young talent into the trades.  Our LTT program is an example
  • Integrate any developed procedures into the Barnhart IFS document control module
  • Integrate any tools developed into Barnhart Systems 
  • Update any changes required to existing Barnhart Systems
  • Test Systems prior to roll out

Development

  • Develop and maintain the Future Leaders process
    • Mentors/Check-ins
    • Wildsparq/C12
    • PDPs/Career paths/Exposure and visibility
  • Monitor Branch Health metrics for People Development            
  • Provide tools and train leaders for People Strategy
    • Interviewing
    • Servant Leadership
    • Mentoring/Check-ins
    • PDP/Evaluation/Feedback
    • Assessment tools and annual survey

Departure

  • Retirement/Pre-retirement counseling
  • Exit Interviews/Analysis
  • Turnover Reporting

 

The VP of People reports to the CEO, will meet regularly with Barnhart Senior Leadership Team and interacts with their counterparts in other KCG companies. Analyze, maintain, and communicate lessons learned including any trending data.
